EMPE and Eco-Sistems: collaboration for efficient desalination
In a context where responsible water management and energy efficiency are becoming increasingly important, collaboration between specialized companies makes it possible to develop more efficient, reliable and sustainable technical solutions.
At EMPE, we contribute our experience in industrial component manufacturing, precision machining and tailor-made electrical solutions to projects that promote sustainability. One example is our collaboration with Eco-Sistems Watermakers, a company specialized in seawater desalination and purification systems.

A collaboration focused on efficient desalination
Efficient desalination requires the integration of different technical capabilities: design, mechanical precision, electrical control, component reliability and energy consumption optimization.
The collaboration between EMPE and Eco-Sistems was born from this need: to combine industrial knowledge and technology applied to water treatment in order to develop a compact, efficient solution prepared for real operating conditions.
This type of project shows how specialized manufacturing can help improve the performance of systems linked to nautical sectors, coastal environments or installations without direct access to drinking water networks.
48V desalination unit
As a result of this collaboration, EMPE has manufactured and integrated a 48V desalination unit, designed to be part of modular and compact systems such as the Efficient Modular SE-240 by Eco-Sistems Watermakers.
This unit is designed for nautical and coastal environments, as well as applications where a reliable solution for seawater treatment is required. Its design combines efficiency, durability and stable operation.
The 48V unit stands out for its integration capacity in compact systems, its stable operation and its adaptation to environments with humidity, salinity and continuous operation requirements.
Energy efficiency and low consumption
Energy efficiency is a key factor in any desalination system. In nautical applications or installations with limited energy resources, reducing consumption without compromising performance is essential.
The 48V desalination unit contributes to low-consumption operation and is integrated into systems with energy recovery, helping to optimize the process and reduce environmental impact.
This approach makes it possible to offer a more sustainable solution, especially in environments where the availability of drinking water and energy may be limited.
Precision machining and industrial components
An important part of EMPE’s contribution to this project is linked to the manufacturing and integration of industrial components based on precision, resistance and reliability criteria.
Our facilities in Sant Julià de Ramis, Girona, are equipped with CNC technology and quality control systems that allow us to manufacture components adapted to demanding technical applications.
In desalination systems, component precision is key to maintaining stable flow, proper pressure control and safe operation under high humidity and salinity conditions.

Eco-Sistems technology and intelligent automation
Integrated into the Efficient Modular SE-240 model, the 48V unit works together with a reverse osmosis system with energy recovery and intelligent control through a touch screen.
This technology makes it possible to adjust flow rate, schedule cycles, display alarms and perform automatic flushing, with the aim of protecting the system and ensuring more efficient operation.
The combination of reliable industrial components and automated control helps improve the user experience and reinforce system safety in response to variations in pressure or water quality.
Sustainable solutions for water treatment
Sustainable desalination systems are especially important in areas with limited access to water resources or in applications where drinking water must be generated autonomously.
Optimizing the components that form part of these systems helps improve efficiency, reduce energy consumption and extend the service life of the equipment.
The collaboration with Eco-Sistems is an example of how combining technical capabilities can result in real solutions for sectors that need technology, reliability and sustainability.
Do you need a tailor-made technical solution?
If your project requires industrial components, tailor-made electrical solutions, precision machining or technical integration for demanding applications, EMPE can study the needs of the project and assess the most suitable solution.
